The Winnipeg Senior Citizens Radio Club VE4WSC Inc. is a welcoming community dedicated to fostering a love of amateur radio, particularly among seniors in Winnipeg and surrounding areas. As part of the RAC (Radio Amateurs of Canada) Midwest Region, we offer a supportive environment for learning, connecting, and sharing your passion for radio communication.

Meetings and Activities

  • Social Gatherings:
    • Breakfast at Canada Inn Garden City on the 2nd Thursday of each month. (A great way to connect with fellow members in a casual setting!)
    • Board meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, from September to June, at 598 St. Mary's Rd. (For those interested in club operations.)
  • Classes:
    • The club offers classes on various topics related to amateur radio "when warranted." Contact the club to inquire about upcoming classes.
  • Accredited Examiner: VE4SN is available to provide amateur radio licensing exams.
  • Repeaters:
    • VE4DRM: 145.010 MHz (-) (Stay connected on the club's designated repeater frequency.)

Connecting Every Morning

In addition to these activities, the Winnipeg Senior Citizens Radio Club also participates in the Morning Net, held at 9:00 AM local time every weekday morning on VE4WPG 147.390 MHz (+). This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with other ham operators in the area and share your experiences.
