Serving Our Community
Our primary partner is the City of Winnipeg Emergency Program. Winnipeg ARES members can access emergency management courses through this program. Additionally, we support secondary agencies like Manitoba EMO and Environment Canada's Prairie & Arctic Storm Prediction Centre. During the summer severe weather season, ARES members volunteer as operators for VE4WWO, providing essential communication for 12 hours a day over 17 weeks.
