Welcome to the DARC Local Association Kronach (B21)

The Kronach Local Association (B21) was established on October 17, 1959, by 7 amateur radio operators and 5 shortwave listeners. Today, it consists of 46 members. As the 21st local association in the former Bavaria-North district (renamed to Franken district in 1973), it received the internal code B21, which is why our website's address is www.bravo21.de. When spoken in amateur radio, B21 would be spelled out as "Bravo 21."

Activities and Facilities:

The Kronach local association is actively involved in several projects, including operating the DB0KCH relay station in Kronach-Gehülz and the DL0KC club station. For local communication, we use the following frequencies:

  • 145.350 MHz (direct communication, FM)
  • 434.350 MHz (direct communication, FM)
  • 438.725 MHz (relay DB0KCH, FM)

These frequencies support both local communication and broader connections within the amateur radio community.

Our Mission and Community:

We aim to foster a friendly, open, and diverse community of amateur radio operators. Through the hobby of amateur radio, we build connections and friendships without commercial interests. All content on our website is created by the dedicated members of our association and is shared free of charge.

We also maintain a local focus, ensuring that information is understandable and relevant to people in the Kronach area. The Kronach Local Association offers amateur radio enthusiasts a place to gather and engage in a variety of activities such as Field Days, contests, and technical talks.
