The Ortsverband Erding (C25) of the Deutscher Amateur-Radio-Club (DARC) recently held its annual general meeting (Jahreshauptversammlung) on February 14, 2025, marking another year of achievements and milestones for this vibrant amateur radio community. Located in the heart of Bavaria, the club continues to foster a spirit of camaraderie, technical innovation, and public service.
A Year in Review
Chairman Wolfgang (DF4MAA) opened the meeting with a review of the club’s activities over the past year. Highlights included successful field days, public outreach events, and the continued operation of the club’s relay stations, which serve as vital communication hubs for the region.

A Surprise Honor
The meeting took an unexpected turn when Werner (DK2DL) presented Wolfgang (DF4MAA) with a Marinefunker uniform, officially welcoming him into the Marinefunker-Runde e.V. This honor reflects Wolfgang’s deep knowledge of naval history and his active participation in maritime communication. As a member of the Marinefunker, Wolfgang will operate under the club call sign DF0MFN, further expanding the club’s reach and influence.
