VERON & VRZA Twente: A Collaborative Hub for Amateur Radio

Twente, Netherlands — The VERON (Vereniging voor Experimenteel Radio Onderzoek in Nederland) and VRZA (Vereniging van Radio Zend Amateurs) Twente chapters have been actively collaborating since February 18, 2013, to promote amateur radio. This joint effort aims to foster a community for individuals interested in experimenting with transmitting and receiving radio and television signals, all while holding official government-issued transmitting licenses obtained through formal examinations.

Upcoming Events

The Twente chapters have a busy schedule ahead:

  • June 14, 2025 (4:00 PM - 10:00 PM): VRZA WAP Contest 2025. The chapter is looking for members (with registration) to participate.
  • June 18, 2025 (8:00 PM - 10:30 PM): Chapter Meeting with Lecture by Rob Hardenberg PE1ITR.
  • June 27-29, 2025: HAMRADIO.

For a full overview of events, refer to their online calendar.

"Twente Beam" Magazine Discontinued

"Twente Beam," the esteemed digital monthly magazine of the VERON and VRZA Twente chapters, has unfortunately ceased publication. This decision was made due to the departure of several key editorial team members who were responsible for the majority of its content, and a lack of new submissions from the approximately 350 combined members. The chapters express their gratitude to all who contributed to "Twente Beam" since its inception.

For future information regarding chapter meetings and activities, members are directed to the official website: veronvrzatwente.nl. They also encourage everyone to like their Facebook page, "veronvrzatwente," to stay updated.
