QSL Service

VERON A41 provides a QSL service, with Ronald (PA0RHA) and Johan (PA3JEM) managing the distribution and collection of QSL cards. To ensure efficient processing, members are requested to adhere to the following guidelines when submitting outgoing cards:

  • Sort Alphabetically: Cards should be sorted alphabetically from 0-9 and A-Z.
  • Group Countries: Due to the large number of call signs, certain countries should be grouped under specific letters (e.g., UK calls (2A-2Z, G-GZ, M0-MZ, ZG-ZQ) go under 'G'; Polish calls (3Z, HF, SN-SR) go under 'SP'; French calls (F-FZ, HW-HY, TH, TM-TM, TO-TQ, TV-TX) go under 'F').
  • Russia/Ukraine: Russian calls (U-UA0, RA-RA0, excluding RA2) go under 'RA'. Ukrainian calls (EM-EO, UR-UZ) go under 'UR'.
  • Sweden/Greece: Swedish calls (7S-8SZ, SA-SM) go under 'SM'. Greek calls (J4, SV-SZ) go under 'SV'.
  • Cyprus: 5B, C4, H2, P3, and ZC4 go under '5B'. Consult QRZ.com for ZC4.
  • USA Cards: Sort by the number in the call sign (e.g., N0, K0, W0, then N1, K1, W1, etc.), then group everything under 'K'. Alaska (KL), Hawaii (KH), and Puerto Rico (KP4) should be sorted separately.
  • No QSL Bureau Countries: Refer to www.iaru.org/iaruqsl.html for a list of countries without QSL bureaus. For these, it's generally better to send cards directly to the station or their QSL manager, unless QRZ.com indicates otherwise.
  • Dutch Amateurs: Cards for Dutch amateurs should be placed at the front of the stack and do not need to be sorted.
  • Call Sign Format: Pay attention to proper formatting for clarity (e.g., OH/DL2SWW goes to DL2SWW, F/HB9CSA/p goes to HB9CSA).
  • Handwriting: Ensure handwriting on QSL cards is clear and correct, especially for numbers (e.g., Ø for zero) and letters that can be easily confused (U, V, J).
