Grand Junction, Colorado | August 8, 2026
The Western Colorado Amateur Radio Club's Hamfest & Swapmeet took place at First Christian Church in Grand Junction. The ARRL-listed event connected Western Slope operators through equipment exchange and opportunities to learn.
Talkpod supported the gathering through its Youth Amateur Program, which helps clubs introduce younger people to radio and its technical foundations.
Keeping learning close to home
For a beginner, the most useful resource is often an experienced operator nearby. Local clubs provide a place to ask questions, explore equipment, and develop practical skills after an exam or first contact.
By supporting these communities, Talkpod aims to make that next step easier for young licensees and students interested in electronics.
Thank you to Cathy Maddox, KF0OKV, and the Western Colorado Amateur Radio Club team.
