The Auburn Hamfest brought amateur radio operators together at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum. Organized by the Northeastern Indiana Amateur Radio Association, W9OU, the gathering offered opportunities to exchange equipment, share knowledge, and welcome newcomers.
Talkpod supported the event through its Youth Amateur Program, which helps young people take their first practical steps into radio.
Experience worth passing on
Hamfests make technical knowledge approachable. A conversation at a table can help a student understand an antenna, choose a first radio, or find a club where questions are welcome.
Our support is intended to strengthen those connections between equipment and experience. Accessible hardware works best alongside mentors who can explain how to use it and encourage continuing exploration.
Thank you to the Northeastern Indiana Amateur Radio Association, its volunteers, and everyone who helped make the event welcoming to operators of different ages and experience levels.
