: Inspiring the Next Generation of Amateur Radio Operators

The Radio Club of J.H.S. 22 NYC, operating under the call sign WB2JKJ, is a beacon for young radio enthusiasts in New York City. Founded in 1986 and affiliated with the ARRL, the club focuses on amateur radio’s role in education, providing students with hands-on experiences in contesting, DX operations, and VHF/UHF communications. Under the dedicated leadership of Joseph J. Fairclough (WB2JKJ), who also serves as the club’s contact and editor, the club has grown to a robust membership of 1,200, all ARRL-affiliated.

With specialties in youth engagement and public service, the club offers resources like a newsletter, mentorship programs, and regular on-the-air bulletins, fostering a supportive learning environment. For more information, visit www.wb2jkj.org.
