March 2025: Participate in the DARC UKW Frühlingswettbewerb (VHF/UHF Spring Contest) and the DARC Ostercontest.

April 2025: Attend the DARC VHF/UHF Mai Contest and the IARU Region-1-Fieldday.

May - June 2025: Enjoy hands-on fun during the DARC Microwellen-Contest and DARC VHF/UHF Juli-Contest.

The club also organizes monthly OV-Abende (meetings), with the next one on March 26, 2025, at the OV Gelände.
Club Activities

The OV Überherrn is known for its contests on the 2m and 70cm bands, and more recently, on HF bands. It's all about having fun while competing, though the club also relishes good placements in the contests.

Electronics Projects: The club members engage in building equipment for contests, like self-built power amplifiers (PAs), antennas, and solar-powered solutions on the OV grounds.
Club Station and Educational Opportunities

The club runs the DF0AP station and offers various training callsigns for practical training in amateur radio operation and regulatory compliance. These callsigns provide hands-on experience on all amateur radio bands.

Since June 2024, any licensed operator can operate under /T for training purposes, making it easier for newcomers to gain practical experience.
Recent Successes

The Q16 club had a remarkable 2024 contest season, including impressive rankings in the Saarland region. In the DARC 10m Contest, the club came in 1st place in the region and 28th nationwide.

With a 3rd-place finish in the Saarland Club Championship (both in Classic and Open categories), the club is looking forward to more contests in 2025.
