AMERSFOORT, Netherlands — The VERON Afdeling Amersfoort (VERON Section Amersfoort) is one of the oldest and largest local sections of the VERON (Vereniging voor Experimenteel Radio Onderzoek Nederland), having been established in 1945. It serves licensed radio amateurs and shortwave listeners from the wider Amersfoort area.
Callsign and Meetings
The section is regularly active with its club callsign PI4AMF.
Monthly section meetings are primarily held on the third Friday of each month at the 'De Herberg' community center, located at Watersteeg 85 (Nieuwland district) in Amersfoort. Exceptions include a BBQ in June, and no meetings are held in July and August.
Meetings start at 8:00 PM, with the hall open from 7:30 PM. Both VERON members and non-members are welcome to attend and learn about the radio hobby, meet members, and explore activities.
