Madison Oneida Amateur Radio Club: Serving Central New York’s Radio Enthusiasts

The Madison Oneida Amateur Radio Club (MOARC), affiliated with ARRL since 1989, is a welcoming community for amateur radio operators in Central New York. With its call sign W2MO, the club meets monthly at the Gorman Foundation in Oneida, NY. Members gather to share knowledge, hone their technical skills, and engage in public service initiatives.

MOARC specializes in contests, general interest projects, emergency communication, and VHF/UHF operations. The club provides valuable services such as mentoring, license test sessions, and repeater access, allowing both new and experienced operators to connect and enhance their radio capabilities.

Leading the club is Carol J. Mayers (KB2RMZ) as President, supported by Vice President Shaun E. Newcomer (KT2O), Treasurer David M. Gubbins (KD2THD), Secretary Andrew L. Harmon-Kimball (W2ZXN), and Contact Officer Marc Araujo (W2HWK). Together, they foster a collaborative environment that emphasizes education, community service, and camaraderie.
