Founded with a passion for amateur radio, LRS is proud to be affiliated with the RSGB and operates as a registered Scottish Charity (SC045038). Our society thrives on fostering a vibrant and inclusive community, offering support, education, and opportunities for radio enthusiasts at all skill levels.
Whether you're looking to dive into the latest technologies, participate in contests, or simply enjoy the social aspect of the hobby, LRS has something for everyone. From technical talks to field days, from surplus sales to special events, we keep the airwaves buzzing and our members engaged.
Meeting Schedule
When:
LRS meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month (except July and August) at 7:30 PM for an 8:00 PM start.

During the summer months of July and August, we hold informal Pub Nights at Wee Bennet’s Bar, Morningside Station on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays, starting at 8:00 PM. These are fantastic opportunities to relax and connect with fellow members in a more casual setting.

For regular updates on club operations, including the RSGB GB2RS News broadcast by LRS member Peter Dick GM4DTH every Sunday morning, tune in to 70.425 MHz FM, 145.525 MHz FM, and 433.525 MHz FM. Follow it up with the local net on 144.575 MHz at 10:00 AM.
