Welcome to the Edinburgh and District Amateur Radio Club (EDARC), proudly operating under the callsign GS4HAM. After a long absence, this historic club was re-established on April 19, 2017, with a renewed mission to bring together amateur radio enthusiasts in Edinburgh and beyond.
Who We Are
EDARC is a collaborative and cooperative organization that welcomes both seasoned operators and newcomers to amateur radio. The club is committed to fostering a vibrant community with a focus on:
- Radio Operations: From contests to portable deployments, we keep the airwaves alive.
- Training and Development: Informal coaching and support for amateur radio examinations.
- Technical Projects: Construction and experimentation are core to our activities.
- Community Building: A supportive environment for members to learn, share, and grow.
When and Where We Meet
The club holds weekly meetings most Saturdays from 7 PM at Corstorphine, located at:
160 Carrick Knowe Drive, Edinburgh, EH12 8AT.
Additionally, we host the Corstorphine Club Net every Monday evening from 8 PM, an excellent opportunity for members and non-members to connect on-air.
