Welcome to the Eschwege Local Chapter (F28) of the Deutscher Amateur Radio Club e.V. (DARC), where amateur radio enthusiasts gather to foster their passion for communication and technology. Nestled in the Ringgau region, this vibrant chapter is a cornerstone for radio operators in Eschwege and the surrounding areas.
The Eschwege chapter is equipped with multiple frequencies and relays, ensuring seamless communication for its members. The club operates a variety of radio services, including:
- 145.485 MHz FM simplex for local communication.
- Stadtrelais Eschwege (DB0ESW) operating on 439.050 MHz FM, with a 7.6 MHz offset, available also via Echolink at Node #8813 (DL2GM-L). The OV round is held daily at 19:30 local time.
- DMR – BM Relais (DB0WMK), located in Eschwege, operating on 439.900 MHz, with a dynamic TG 262 and several statically allocated talk groups for different regions, including Südniedersachsen and Nordhessen.
- DMR – BM / FM Relais (DB0XP) in Hess.-Lichtenau, operating on 439.2625 MHz, with a 7.6 MHz offset and CTCSS 67 Hz for FM.
The club’s meeting place is the Altstadtgasthof Zur Krone, located at Stad 9 in Eschwege. Their next OV meeting is scheduled for Friday, March 14, 2025, at 19:00, where members will discuss upcoming activities, share experiences, and continue their work in the world of amateur radio.
In addition to regular meetings, the Eschwege chapter participates in various events, such as the Flohmarkt H10 in Göttingen 2022 and FunkTag Kassel 2019, where the club sets up a stand to share knowledge, tools, and experiences. These gatherings provide an opportunity for both veterans and newcomers to connect, learn, and have fun.
