Description
The Churchill Amateur Radio Society (NVCARS) is part of the ongoing rebranding and consolidation of the Carson Valley Radio Club (CVRC). The CVRC originally began under the call sign W7DI in 1997, which later changed to W7DEM. The club supports the State of Nevada ARES/RACES program, particularly at the State of Nevada Emergency Operations Center in Carson City.
Currently, both clubs, CVRC and NVCARS, are undergoing a rebranding process and are not soliciting for new memberships until the rebranding is complete. The club still remains active in various amateur radio activities, including field days and contests, with the W7SR call sign used for those events.
More information is available on their website.
