Bühl Local Association (A04) – The Sunny Side of the Black Forest

Nestled in the picturesque foothills of the Black Forest, the Bühl Local Association (OV A04) is a thriving hub for amateur radio enthusiasts. As a part of the German Amateur Radio Club e.V. (DARC), the association brings together 53 licensed radio amateurs from the region between Rastatt and Offenburg.

With a rich history, a strong community, and a commitment to technology and education, the Bühl Local Association is an integral part of both the local and international amateur radio community.

Bühl: A City with Tradition and Innovation

The town of Bühl is uniquely positioned, 12 km southwest of Baden-Baden and 38 km east of Strasbourg, with an altitude ranging from 128 to 1038 meters. This diverse landscape includes the Rhine plain, the foothills of the Black Forest, and the mountainous region, offering a breathtaking setting for amateur radio operations.

Bühl has a strong agricultural heritage, with wine and fruit growing in the foothills and forestry in the Black Forest mountains. However, the town is also home to renowned high-tech companies in the automotive supply industry, reflecting its balance between tradition and innovation.

A vibrant cultural scene and an active club life further enrich Bühl, making it a perfect location for an amateur radio association that blends technology, history, and community engagement.
