This review is for the A36Plus Max Handheld Radio Long Range for Adults, 771 Aviation Antenna, 3200mAh Battery with Type-C Charging, 8W Output, 999 CH, Dual Band and NOAA Weather Receiver & Scan-Black, 2Pack.

OK so I would be one of those total newbs to these! LOL. I like them, but I'm a bit lost. These feel and seem like aa solid well built set of radios. But the "manual" included is a joke and I need a much more detailed one so I can read through it doing stuff step by step.

I did get the antennas and batteries installed easily, got them charged and I keep trying to figure stuff out with them. If I can't then they're useless to me. I got these so mom and I have a fast easier way to communicate if I'm outside. My mom is elderly and has health issues, has mobility issues... yes we have cell phones, but she doesn't keep it on her ALL the time. Well if she comes into the kitchen and left her cell in her bedroom and then falls she can't get up by herself! She can't call me if her phone isn't on her. And if she has one of her "spells" and gets loopy I'm not confident she can even think enough to get me called on her cell. These radios seemed like an easier solution IF I can figure them out and teach her.

I did have one issue other than the above, I can't get the belt clips on the darn things! Then I thought well maybe it's easier if you put them on before you put the battery on? Well then I couldn't get the battery back off! UGH LOL!

If anybody has any suggestions I'm open to them. If you've located a more detailed manual somewhere that would help too. Thanks in advance. I'm going to keep working on figuring the radios out, so I'm not knocking them down in stars yet. If I can't get any help I'll update if I feel it's needed. But honestly it does seem a bit rediculous to sell something like this and not include a detailed user's manual for inexperienced people to use. Maybe I should have just gotten the stupid little kids set that I had on offer... LOL.
