Welcome to the Würzburg-Nord Amateur Radio Club (B17)!

We're the Würzburg-Nord Amateur Radio Club (B17), a group of amateur radio enthusiasts in and around Würzburg, Germany. We're part of the Deutscher Amateur-Radio-Club (DARC), the largest amateur radio organization in Germany.

What We Do

We hold regular meetings and events, including:

  • OV-Abend: Our monthly meeting takes place on the second Friday of each month at 7:00 PM. We meet at our club location: Amateurfunkzentrum Unterfranken Oskar-Neisinger-Weg 97082 Würzburg http://www.amateurfunk-unterfranken.de/

  • Excursion to the Amateur Radio Center of Lower Franconia for students of the JMU Würzburg: As part of the "Amateur Radio" lecture by Prof. Dr. Matthias Jung (DL9MJ) at the Julius-Maximilians-University Würzburg, a group of students took a trip to the Amateur Radio Center of Lower Franconia on November 8th, 2024. The course aims to prepare students of the Air and Space Informatics program in particular for the amateur radio license of class E.
