Welcome to DARC OV Ettlingen

DARC Local Association Ettlingen (A24) has a proud history of successful participation in amateur radio contests, particularly those contributing to the club championship. Our call signs, DP6M and DR9A, along with previous ones such as DQ1A, DL0MB, DM0B, consistently rank at the top of contest results.

Our Activities

Along with our radio operations, we maintain a vibrant OV life with many regular and one-off events throughout the year, including:

Annual General Meeting (March)
May 1st OV hike around Ettlingen/Karlsruhe/Pfalz
Bratwurst Festival in Ettlingen-Schluttenbach on Corpus Christi (with 80m fox hunting)
Field Day – A relaxed, contest-free day of HF radio on the green field
Participation in the Ettlingen Market Festival (Volunteer Mile stand)
OV Family Evening (early November), a cozy get-together with family members
OV Christmas Party (early December), with Santa Claus and year-in-review poetry
OV Excursions (e.g., MS Karlsruhe to Speyer or bus trips to St. Martin)
Visiting Amateur Radio Fairs (HamRadio, VHF Conference, SHF meeting, etc.)
Children's Holiday Program with electronics crafting in Ettlingen and Malsch
License Course (with A07)
Participation in District Service Day
Technical Lectures (lightning detection, laser transmission, DX expeditions, etc.)
Activation of Mountain Peaks and Nature Parks via SOTA and POTA
Hut Weekend at Teufelsmühle with excursions and activities at 900m altitude

Our OV Evenings

We hold OV evenings every second and fourth Friday of each month at 20:00 local time (excluding public holidays). These events take place at:

Waldgaststätte Spessart,
Allmendstraße 60,
Ettlingen-Spessart.

Even when there's no OV evening, we still meet virtually on Fridays.
