The VU4X team is gearing up for their upcoming DXpedition to the Andaman Islands in March 2025. The team recently held a productive preparation and testing session on November 9, working diligently to ensure smooth operations once they hit the airwaves.

Preparation and Testing Highlights
The team gathered at 8 a.m., kicking off the day with coffee and a review of their ‘To-Do’ list. Patrick (ON4HIL) introduced the group to the bandstop filters he is constructing, essential for interference management across the station's multiple setups. The team tackled a range of tasks, including:
- Building and Testing two Spiderbeams
- Measuring High-Power Bandpass Filters
- Testing Bandstop Filters
- Preparing 800 meters of Coax Cable
- Setting Up and Testing Stations, Computers, and Networking
- Combining Stations and Antennas with Filters for high-power performance
The initial tests went exceptionally well, and the team concluded the day feeling confident about their preparations for the expedition.
Upcoming DXpedition Details
The VU4X DXpedition to the Andaman Islands is scheduled for March 10-25, 2025. The team will be QRV on HF bands using CW, SSB, and digital modes, providing ample opportunities for DXers around the world to log the Andaman Islands.
