Sneek, Netherlands — VERON Afdeling Friese Meren (A62) was established on July 1, 1985, as a result of the division of the larger VERON Afdeling Friesland (A14) into three distinct chapters: Friesland Noord (A14), Friese Meren (A62), and Friese Wouden (A63).
This chapter covers the scenic region of southwest Friesland, encompassing towns such as Harlingen, Bolsward, Sneek, Joure, Lemmer, Stavoren, Hindeloopen, Workum, and Akkrum. The VERON Afdeling Friese Meren currently has 66 members.
