Welcome, Yannick Hariga – DK1YH
The DXpedition team proudly introduces Yannick Hariga (DK1YH), a 21-year-old radio enthusiast from Germany. Yannick is the youngest member of the group and brings a vibrant energy and strong skills in CW, SSB, FT8, and RTTY.
“It has always been my dream to take part in a DXpedition,” Yannick shared. “I feel very honored to have been invited to this project and will serve my team in any way possible.”
His inclusion reflects the team's commitment to fostering the next generation of DXpeditioners while ensuring a robust, multi-mode operational capacity for this unique journey.
Preparation Highlights
Recent efforts have focused on rigorous testing of antennas and station setups, made possible with the support of fellow ham radio operators. Successful trials leave the team confident in their equipment's performance.
In early November, several members gathered at the OE1W station in Austria to fine-tune their logistics and discuss final plans, ensuring a well-coordinated effort for the DXpedition.
Logistics and Travel
All flights have been confirmed, with the team set to rendezvous in Hawaii before heading to the Marshall Islands. A secure location has been established on the islands, with strong collaboration from the local landlord, ensuring a smooth operational environment.
