Talkpod Supports Youth Learning at Northeast HamXposition 2026

Marlborough, Massachusetts | August 13–16, 2026

Northeast HamXposition brought New England's amateur radio community to the Best Western Royal Plaza & Trade Center. Organized by FEMARA, Inc., the event also served as the ARRL New England Division Convention.

Talkpod supported the convention through its Youth Amateur Program, with an emphasis on helping young people find an accessible route into radio.

Learning that continues after the convention

Forums, equipment displays, and conversations with experienced operators can help newcomers understand how the hobby works. A local mentor can then turn that initial interest into practical skills, from choosing equipment to making a first contact.

Our program supports this connection between hardware, mentorship, and continuing STEM education. The goal is lasting participation in club activities, rather than a single encounter with a new device.

Thank you to Bob DeMattia, K1IW, the FEMARA team, and the volunteers who helped make the convention a place for learning and exchange.
