SMARC Pre-Field Day Hamfest

The Southwest Missouri Amateur Radio Club (SMARC) is excited to invite you to the Pre-Field Day Hamfest, an event bigger and better than ever! This year's hamfest will take place on June 1, 2024, at the Salvation Army Springfield HQ in Springfield, MO.

Schedule and Admission:

• Setup: Starts at 6:30 AM
• Public Entry: Doors open at 8:00 AM
  • Note: Those taking a test can arrive at 7:30 AM and will be escorted to the testing area.
• Vendor Setup: Also open on Friday evening at 8:00 PM

• Entry Ticket:
  • $7 in advance
  • $10 at the door (includes 1 raffle ticket)
• Table Ticket:
  • $10 in advance
  • $15 at the door (includes 1 entry ticket and 1 raffle ticket)
• Tailgater Spot:
  • $10 in advance
  • $15 at the door (includes 1 entry ticket and 1 raffle ticket)
• Additional Raffle Tickets: $1 each, available until 12:30 PM for the grand prize

Event Highlights:

• Vendor and Tailgater Spaces: Expanded vendor area and outdoor tailgater spots. Currently, 55 tables are left with nearly five months to go.
• License Examinations: Get your amateur radio license or upgrade with VE testing available on-site.
• Special Classes: Learn about common modes, introduction to amateur radio, ARRL activities, and more.
• Raffles and Prizes: Each entry includes a raffle ticket, and additional tickets can be purchased for more chances to win.
• Food and Refreshments: Enjoy breakfast and lunch on-site with home-style biscuits and gravy.
