The East Greenbush Amateur Radio Association (EGARA) is thrilled to invite you to the 2024 EGARA Hamfest, a special event celebrating its 20th year. This annual hamfest promises a day of excitement, prizes, and community for all amateur radio enthusiasts.

Admission and Reservations:
- Admission: $8 per person, which includes a chance to win prizes.
- Inside Tables: $10 each, includes one admission ticket. Reserve early by emailing EGARAradio@gmail.com.
- Tailgaters: Welcome in the parking area with a paid admission, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Prizes and Giveaways:
- Grand Prize: $250
- Second Prize: $100
- Third Prize: $50
- Additional Giveaways: Radios, shack accessories, gift certificates, and more. Remember, you must be present to win prizes.
Activities and Features:
- Vendors and Swap Tables: Explore a variety of amateur radio gear and accessories.
- Delicious Food: Enjoy freshly cooked breakfast and lunch, including sausage, egg and cheese sandwiches, juicy grilled burgers, and the famous apple pie and ice cream. Beverages such as coffee, tea, soda, and water will also be available.
- Community Engagement: Meet fellow hams, exchange stories, and find great deals for your shack.
About EGARA:
Organized in 1998 by Bert Bruins, N2FPJ (SK), and Chris Linck, N2NEH, the East Greenbush Amateur Radio Association is dedicated to providing emergency services, educational programs, and operating resources to the amateur radio community in the Capital Region of New York State. The club operates several VHF and UHF repeaters and welcomes new members and those interested in ham radio to join and participate in its activities.
