The Schenectady ARA Inc (K2AE) is a longstanding and active amateur radio club based in Schenectady, New York. Since its inception on November 2nd, 1931, the club has been a hub for both seasoned and new amateur radio operators in the region.

Mission and Purpose

The Schenectady ARA is dedicated to fostering amateur radio in the local community, with a focus on:

  • Contests, Digital Modes, DX communications, and VHF/UHF operations.
  • Providing public service and emergency communications, ensuring readiness and community support.
  • Maintaining repeaters and facilitating license testing for aspiring operators.

  • Meeting Time: 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7 PM (except for July and August)
