Welcome to Ortsverband Düsseldorf-Lohausen (R22), an active and welcoming amateur radio club based in the vibrant city of Düsseldorf.

About Us:

Founded in 1977, the R22 club is a dynamic part of the DARC (German Amateur Radio Club), located in North Düsseldorf, specifically covering areas like Angermund, Kaiserswerth, Kalkum, and Lohausen.

As a part of the Düsseldorf district within NRW, the club has a rich history of contributing to the regional amateur radio community. The R22 focuses not only on technical discussions but also on the social aspects of the hobby, providing a space for both licensed operators and SWLs (Shortwave Listeners) to connect and share their passion.

Key Activities and Engagement:

One of the highlights of the club is its bi-weekly meetings (every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at 18:30 in Gaststätte "Im Kühlen Grund"), where members come together to discuss technical aspects and simply enjoy the company of fellow enthusiasts.

The club also actively participates in contesting, especially UKW (VHF) contests, a favorite of many members, showcasing their expertise in the field.

Radschläger-Diplom:

A unique offering by R22 is the Radschläger-Diplom. This diploma is awarded to all licensed radio amateurs and SWLs who achieve specific point thresholds through contacts on different bands. To qualify, participants need to work stations from various local clubs, with additional points given for CW contacts. The club’s station DKØWD even awards two points per contact!

Club Frequencies and Rounds:

R22 members frequently meet on the following frequencies:

  • 145.475 MHz FM (OV-R22 Round) – Thursdays and Sundays at 19:30-20:00 (local time)

  • 145.475 MHz FM (Radschläger-Round) – Tuesdays at 10:00-11:00

  • 3.680 MHz LSB – Sundays at 11:30-12:00

For those interested in earning the Radschläger-Diplom, these rounds provide a great opportunity to make the required contacts.
