Repost: D68Z – Comoros DXpedition Update

Elvira, IV3FSG, has extended her DXpedition from Moroni, Comoros until March 31 (possibly April 1, 2025), pushing her original end date from March 18. As of 2200z on March 15, the QSO count is approaching 50,000—a fantastic achievement!

Equipment & Setup:

  • Operating from a well-equipped radio room, Elvira’s setup includes a 60m dipole, a DX Challenger vertical, and a 6m delta-loop.
  • On‑scene photos (courtesy of IK0XBX) show the team in action, including images of the radio room and antenna installations.

Mentorship Initiative:
Elvira is mentoring three local youths—thanks to Don (7Q6M/D60AB)—teaching them antenna-raising and pile-up techniques ahead of this year’s YOTA Summer Camp in France.

Log & QSL Information:

  • Logs are being uploaded to Club Log, and QSLs are handled via IK2WAD and LoTW.
  • For further details and YOTA info, please visit the official expedition page.

Stay tuned for more updates from the Comoros DXpedition, and 73 from the team!
