The EIDXG DX Group’s operation from Jamaica is now in full swing! Here are the latest updates as of March 15, 2025:

  • Noise Issues Solved:
    The team has identified and resolved the noise problem on the low bands. Antenna setups for 80m and 160m will be up within the next couple of days, as confirmed by Declan (EI9HQ).

  • QSO Milestone & Logs:
    The operation is progressing well with first logs already uploaded to the M0OXO webpage. Currently, the QSO count is rapidly climbing, and the team is eager to keep the contacts coming.

  • On-Site Activity & Media:
    Team member Jeremy (EI5GM) has shared some excellent pictures and video clips of the operation, highlighting a very promising QTH in Jamaica.

    • A recent update at 0530z on March 13 confirmed that the entire team and all equipment have safely arrived, and setup is underway.
    • Later, at 1545z on March 13, EI5GM reported that the team is now QRV on FT8 while antenna installation continues; CW and SSB will follow.
    • At 1500z on March 14, further setup efforts are in progress with the full quota of antennas nearing completion.
    • Most recently, by 1815z on March 15, the team has resolved the low-band noise issue and is actively working on 80/160m operations, with a mix of CW, SSB, and FT8.
  • Operation Duration:
