The Red Rose Repeater Association is a vibrant ham radio club based in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, operating under the call sign W3RRR. Founded in 1978, the association brings together licensed amateur radio operators, non-licensed contributors, and friends for a wide range of activities that promote communication and public service.

Club Activities and Services

  • Public Service: The club actively participates in local ARES events and other public service activities, providing communication support during emergencies and community events.

  • Field Day: RRRA is a regular participant in both the ARRL Field Day and Winter Field Day events, showcasing its members' skills and the importance of amateur radio in emergency preparedness.

  • Hamfest: The club organizes an annual hamfest, offering a place for radio enthusiasts to come together, exchange gear, and share knowledge.

  • License Testing: Several members are VE's (Volunteer Examiners), providing bi-monthly license test sessions and testing opportunities at the hamfest.

  • VHF FM Repeater: 147.015 MHz (+) with PL 118.8 Hz, including Echolink connectivity.

  • UHF FM Repeater: 449.575 MHz (-) with PL 114.8 Hz, soon to support Yaesu C4FM System Fusion and WiresX.

  • Daily and Weekly Nets:

    • Welfare Net: Daily at 7:45 PM on 147.015 MHz (+) PL 118.8
    • Red Rose 10m Net: Tuesday at 8:00 PM on 28.435 MHz (vertical polarization)
    • Weekly Net: Every Wednesday at 9:00 PM on 147.015 MHz (+) PL 118.8
