Reading Radio Club RRC Hamfest 2024

The Reading Radio Club, Inc. is excited to invite you to the annual RRC Hamfest, happening on August 3, 2024, at Heritage Park in Sinking Spring, PA. This ARRL-sponsored event promises a day of excitement, learning, and camaraderie for amateur radio enthusiasts of all ages.

Schedule:

• Event Hours: 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM
• Vendor Setup: Starts at 7:00 AM
• VE License Testing: 8:30 AM (inside Freight Station)

Admission:

• General Admission: $5.00
• Tailgate Fee for Sellers: $8.00 per space
• Free Admission: For those taking license exams, amateurs under 18 years of age, unlicensed spouses, and children under 18 years old

Activities and Features:

• Vendors: Explore a variety of amateur radio equipment and accessories.
• Tailgating: Find great deals and unique items from sellers.
• Ticket Prizes: Awarded at intervals throughout the event.
• Test Bench: Limited AC power and HF antenna provided near the Freight Station.
• On-Site Facilities: Handicap accessible restrooms and refreshments available inside the Freight Station.

ARRL VE License Testing:

• Time: 8:30 AM
• Cost: $15 (preferably by check to ARRL/VEC, exact cash also acceptable)
• Requirements: One form of ID, a copy of your license or CSCE, email address, and FRN number.

• Location: Heritage Park, Sinking Spring, PA. West on 422 at Rt. 724, after one mile, turn left on Park Ave (just past the Sunoco station on the right). Continue 0.3 miles to the dead end, then left onto Clematis St. for 0.2 miles to the park entrance. Look for signs.
