Welcome to Ortsverband Weißwasser (S28), part of the Deutscher Amateur Radio Club e.V. (DARC) and located in the Saxony district. Established to bring together individuals passionate about the hobby of amateur radio, the club remains dedicated to fostering communication and technical exploration.
A Legacy of Communication and Community
Our club station, DL0WSW, is not just a call sign but a hub for all our activities. Positioned in Krauschwitz, just outside Weißwasser, the station serves as a central gathering place for our members. It has a long history, stretching back to the early 1950s when it was originally founded under the call sign DM3KFF. Over the years, the station has been a cornerstone for radio communication in the region, hosting activities that range from regular meetups to involvement in local festivals like Obermühlenfest and Stadtfest.
Engagement and Open to All
Whether you're new to the world of amateur radio or an experienced operator, the OV Weißwasser invites you to join us at our Klubstation DL0WSW. We operate the station every Friday afternoon, providing an open space for enthusiasts to connect, share knowledge, and of course, transmit. Our members enjoy participating in radio events, as well as visiting amateur radio gatherings, like the HAM Radio exhibition in Friedrichshafen.
We are proud to say that everyone is welcome, and we actively encourage newcomers to explore the world of amateur radio with us.
