A Club with a Purpose

The Mid-Ohio Valley Amateur Radio Club meets every first Saturday of the month at 8:30 AM in the Gallia County 911 Communications Center Meeting Room (Basement). This setting underscores the club’s focus on emergency communication and its commitment to public safety.

With a small but dedicated membership of 15 licensed operators, including 9 ARRL members, the club’s strength lies in its camaraderie and shared mission.


Activities and Services

The club specializes in:

  • Public Service and Emergency Communication: Assisting during natural disasters and community events.
  • Technical Advancement: Supporting Digital Modes, DX operation, Packet Radio, and more.
  • Education and Licensing: Offering Entry-Level and General License Classes, as well as License Test Sessions to cultivate new amateur radio operators.

  • On-The-Air Bulletins: Keeping members informed and active in the amateur radio world.
