In the turquoise waters off Cuba’s northern coast lies Cayo Santa Maria, a pristine jewel in the Caribbean. Designated as IOTA NA-204, this island will soon come alive with amateur radio signals as the T46W team embarks on an exciting DXpedition from December 1-10, 2024.
Meet the Team
A dedicated group of Cuban operators—CO6XDX, CO6XX, CO6VV, CO6SDY, CO6RK, CO6OU, CM6EZ, and CL6AX—has come together for this special event. These seasoned enthusiasts will bring a wealth of experience to the airwaves, ensuring a seamless operation that spans bands and modes.
Expanding the Airwaves
From their base on Cayo Santa Maria (Grid: FL02LP), T46W will be QRV on 160-6 meters, utilizing a variety of modes to maximize global connections. Whether through CW, SSB, or digital communications, their signals will bring the vibrant energy of the Caribbean to radios worldwide.
For those seeking something extra, T46W will also engage in POTA (Parks on the Air) activations from CU-0292 and CU-0298, adding a dynamic layer to their expedition.
Cayo Santa Maria: A Paradise on Air
Cayo Santa Maria, known for its unspoiled beaches and lush biodiversity, offers more than just a stunning backdrop. Its remote location enhances propagation, enabling clear and powerful transmissions.
