The Keowee Toxaway Amateur Radio Club (K4WD), located in Walhalla, SC, has been serving the local ham radio community since 1977.     The club meets on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 7:30 PM at the Oconee County Emergency Operations Center (EOC), located at 300 S. Church Street, Walhalla, SC.

    K4WD has 25 members, with all of them being licensed amateurs and 22 of them are ARRL members.

    • License Classes: The club offers Entry-Level License Classes to help newcomers get started in the hobby.
    • Mentorship: New and existing hams can take advantage of the club's mentorship program, which pairs newcomers with more experienced operators for guidance.
    • On-The-Air Bulletins: The club provides on-the-air bulletins for updates and announcements.
    • Repeater: The club operates a repeater at 145.29 MHz with a 162.2 tone, located on Long Mountain in northern Oconee County, SC.
