Deep in Saxony's countryside, the Eilenburg Radio Club (S36) has been connecting the world since 1962 - first as an East German collective, then as an official DARC branch after reunification. Today, its 25 dedicated members keep the airwaves buzzing with everything from global contests to castle activations!

 DL0SAX in Jesewitz - Former broadcast hub for all of Saxony (monthly transmissions ran until 2020)

Cold War Relics Meet Modern Tech

The club proudly maintains:
• Vintage GDR-era equipment alongside cutting-edge rigs
• Archive of historic "Sachsenrundspruch" district broadcasts
• Partnership with Butzbach OV (Hesse) showing unity across former borders

Meet the Master of Signals

Lothar Richter (DK3XC), the club's longtime leader, still remembers the days when ham radio was one of few windows to the West.

"We're not just operators - we're keepers of history," says Richter. "Every contact tells a story."
