Where and When to Meet: A Welcoming Environment
The FGARC meets on the last Wednesday of every month, except December, where members and visitors gather to discuss the latest developments in the hobby. Meetings are typically held at the Campbelltown Performing Arts High School on Beverley Rd, in Block M—easily accessed via the pedestrian gate at the street's end, and up the stairs to the second room on the left.
During school holidays, the venue shifts to McDonald's in Woodbine, offering a more casual atmosphere in the party room for those eager to learn more about the fascinating world of amateur radio.
A Club with an Open Door
Starting at 7:30 pm, these regular meetings usually run for about an hour, welcoming visitors who are curious about the hobby or looking to expand their knowledge. The February meeting is especially notable, kicking off with the Annual General Meeting before diving into the monthly agenda.
Visitors are always encouraged to attend, learn, and participate in the diverse discussions and activities that make FGARC a cornerstone of the amateur radio community.
Training and Assessments: Elevating Your Skills
For those interested in pursuing or upgrading their amateur radio licenses, the club offers a Foundation Licence Course and periodic licence upgrades. These courses are held when enough candidates are gathered, ensuring that each participant receives the attention and instruction they deserve.
