Welcome to the Nidderau Local Chapter (F31) of the Deutscher Amateur Radio Club e.V. (DARC), where amateur radio enthusiasts come together to celebrate communication and technology. Based in Nidderau, Hessen, this vibrant chapter has been a cornerstone for radio operators since its founding in 1965. In 2025, the chapter will celebrate its 60th anniversary with a special event: the DL0YY Clubstation will be active with the special DOK "60F31" throughout the year.
The chapter serves members from Nidderau and surrounding areas like Windecken, Heldenbergen, Büdesheim, Erbstadt, and even from places like Maintal, Bruchköbel, and Frankfurt. The club welcomes both experienced and new amateur radio enthusiasts, providing a space for learning, discussing, and collaborating on various activities.
The club organizes several exciting events throughout the year, including regular OV-Abende (club evenings) held on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month. During these meetings, members gather at the "Hessenschmaus" restaurant in Nidderau/Windecken for lively discussions, sharing experiences, and enjoying each other’s company.
In 2025, as part of the 60th-anniversary celebrations, DL0YY will be on the air throughout the year with the special DOK "60F31", celebrating the chapter’s achievements and connecting with fellow operators around the world. The chapter encourages everyone to participate in making this anniversary special by reaching out and making contacts with DL0YY.
Among the many events hosted by F31, you’ll find the regular OV-Runde on Wednesdays and Sundays at 10:30 AM on the DB0VE 438.700 MHz relay, along with a DMR Talkgroup (TG 262631) for members to connect. Additionally, F31 will be attending the F07 Gießen Flea Market on March 9, 2025, and will also be involved in several other activities during the year, including Fielddays and a variety of technical lectures.
The chapter has a dedicated online logbook for tracking the DL0YY activity, where you can follow the progress of the anniversary event and see how many contacts have been made throughout the year.
