East Central Indiana Hamfest 2024

Join the East Central Indiana Hamfest, an annual event that brings together amateur radio operators, vendors, and enthusiasts for a day of learning, networking, and fun. This year’s Hamfest will be held on July 27, 2024, at the Jay County Fairgrounds in Portland, IN, from 8 AM to 2 PM.

Event Highlights:

1. General Admission: The event is free for all attendees, with free parking and admission, thanks to generous donations.
2. Vendor Information: Spaces for vendors are free, but it's recommended to bring your own tables as availability may be limited. Early reservations are encouraged. Vendors must arrive at least 15 minutes before the opening at 8 AM to secure their spaces.
3. Activities: The Hamfest will feature a variety of vendors, door prizes, and ample space for tailgaters. The Optimist Club will provide breakfast and lunch, and a kettle corn vendor will add to the fun.
4. FCC License Testing: All classes of amateur radio license testing will be available to promote the hobby further.
5. Youth Involvement: The event encourages youth participation through local Scout chapters and the 4-H Club, promoting learning and engagement in amateur radio.
