The Drumlins Amateur Radio Club Ltd, call sign WA2AAZ, is an active club that has been fostering amateur radio in Wayne County, NY, since its affiliation with ARRL in 1976. Meeting every third Wednesday of the month at the Wayne County Emergency Management Office, the club is dedicated to advancing knowledge and interest in digital modes, VHF/UHF, and public service communication.
Offering a range of services, including hamfests, license test sessions, a packet radio BBS, and a club newsletter, Drumlins ARC provides resources and support for both novice and seasoned operators. Under the guidance of Club President William E. Tegtmeyer (KD2DNO) and Vice President Richard E. Hamill (KC2TNJ), members benefit from a vibrant community focused on mentorship, emergency response, and technical exploration.
The club’s repeater serves as a local communication hub, connecting amateur radio enthusiasts and supporting Wayne County’s public safety initiatives. For meeting updates, events, and further information, please visit drumlinsarc.org.
