Welcome to the DARC Ortsverband Wiesental (A37) website! Our club is based in the scenic Wiesental area, nestled within the Black Forest. We are passionate about amateur radio, offering activities for both beginners and experienced operators. Whether you are interested in digital modes, field days, or self-building your own equipment, we welcome you to join us!
About Us
The Wiesental Ortsverband (A37) has been serving the community for many years. We provide a space for amateur radio enthusiasts to share knowledge, develop skills, and engage in exciting radio activities. Our activities include building equipment, conducting field days, and maintaining our DB0TOD repeater system, among many other events.
Key Club Activities
- Fielddays: We gather regularly for field days to practice radio operations in the great outdoors, away from the usual setup.
- Self-Building Projects: A core aspect of our club is the hands-on approach to building our own equipment and learning through experimentation.
- Digital Voice (D-Star and DMR): We recently launched digital voice operations on DB0TOD (438.500 MHz, -7.6 MHz) using MMDVM. We also host DCS 002 J (World Wide BW) for D-Star.
- APRS: APRS over DB0TOD-10 is now available, thanks to the work of Manni DL1GWN and Patrik DO5WP. Check the current APRS data through our system.
Upcoming Events
- Fieldday 2024: From August 10-11, 2024, we will be meeting again at Berwacht-Hütte in Wieden for a fun-filled day of radio operations. Although we couldn't organize a lecture on emergency communication this time, it promises to be a great opportunity to exchange experiences and enjoy some time with fellow enthusiasts.
DB0TOD - Our Repeater
Our DB0TOD repeater serves as a key communication point in the region. It supports:
- D-Star and DMR communication via MMDVM.
- APRS tracking through DB0TOD-10. You can follow the live Webcam feed from DB0TOD to view the surrounding landscapes and signal coverage.
