DARC Ortsverband A19 Odenwald: A Thriving Hub for Amateur Radio Enthusiasts

Welcome to OV A19 Odenwald

Nestled in the Odenwald and Mosbach regions, the DARC Ortsverband A19 Odenwald is a vibrant community of amateur radio enthusiasts of all ages, both licensed and unlicensed. As part of the Deutscher Amateur-Radio Club (DARC) e.V., we are committed to promoting, developing, and advancing the art of amateur radio.

Our activities extend beyond just operating radios—we focus on education, emergency preparedness, competitions, and fostering a strong sense of camaraderie among our members.

Engaging Activities and Events

At OV A19, we take pride in organizing a variety of activities that keep our members engaged and up to date with the latest in amateur radio.

🔹 Field Days & Emergency Communication Exercises

Field Days allow us to practice outdoor emergency communication setups, ensuring we are well-prepared for any crisis. These events also serve as an opportunity to test equipment in real-world conditions and improve our operational efficiency.

🔹 Contests & Competitions

We actively participate in radio contests, competing with amateur radio operators worldwide. These competitions help us refine our technical skills, communication techniques, and efficiency in establishing radio connections.

🔹 Monthly Meetings – A Place for Exchange & Learning

We meet every third Thursday of the month at 19:30 to discuss technical topics, exchange experiences, and review club matters. These meetings also serve as a platform for newcomers to learn from experienced operators.

📍 Location:
Gaststätte "Pilsdörfle"
Langenrainstraße 14, Obrigheim

👥 Guests are always welcome!

In addition, we hold weekly on-air meetings every Sunday at 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM via our DB0ODE relay station.

Our Relay Stations: DB0ODE

OV A19 proudly operates two automatic relay stations in Obrigheim (JN49MH) under the callsign DB0ODE. These relay stations serve as critical infrastructure for amateur radio communication in the region.
