The 30th Anniversary Award: 1988 - 2018
In 2018, the ARI Nereto Section marked its 30th anniversary! To commemorate this significant milestone, the section activated the special call sign IQ6NE for one week, from November 10th to November 17th, 2018.
They also offered a special 30th Anniversary Award to all amateur radio operators and SWLs (Shortwave Listeners), both Italian and foreign, who made contact with IQ6NE on at least one of the activated bands.
During this celebratory week, operators of IQ6NE made calls across all amateur frequencies and allowed modes, passing signal reports. To request the participation diploma, qualifying stations needed to send an email to arinereto@arinereto.it by 12:00 PM UTC on December 31st, 2018. The awards were then delivered electronically to the provided email addresses.
This special activation was a fantastic way for ARI Nereto to celebrate its history and engage with the global amateur radio community!
