ARI Ciociaria (IQ0DC): Four Decades of Radio and Community

Isola del Liri, Italy – The A.R.I. (Associazione Radioamatori Italiani) Sezione Ciociaria, identified by its call sign IQ0DC, is celebrating its 40th anniversary, marking four decades of dedicated amateur radio activity and community involvement. The section is named in honor of its promoter, I0SCD Don Domenico Scacchi, who served as the "Group Leader" as per verbal record no. 1. The founding members of the group were IOSCD, IOVII, IOMDP, and SWL 1.010 Fallone Antonio.

A Timeline of the Ciociaria Section

The history of the ARI Ciociaria section is rich with key milestones and dedicated leadership:

• 1974: The first executive board was elected, with I0SCD appointed as President of the Frosinone Province Radio Amateur Group.
• 1981: The 03-02 Section was established, separating from Frosinone, with IOVII-f. as its first President.
• 1981: The Section's Regulations were drafted under President I0YOP Giovanni.
• 1983: Elections were held, and I0YOP Giovanni was re-elected President.
• 1984: The R7 repeater was put into operation, initially active in Broccostella, then Rocca D'Arce, and finally, for about 20 years, it has been located in Santopadre.
• 1985: Elections for the Executive Board, with I0AYM Marcello becoming President.
• 1987: Elections for the Executive Board, with IK0EIF Gianni becoming President.
• 1989: Elections for the Executive Board, with I0AYM Marcello re-elected President.
• 1990: Members from Cassino separated from the 03-02 section to form the 03-03 Section.
• 1991: Elections for the Executive Board, with IW000Q Gianfranco becoming President.
• 1992: Elections for the Executive Board, with I0UAV Tonino becoming President.
• 1993-1995: IW00QQ served as President (the Executive Board term was changed to three years from 1993).
• 1996-1998: IK0EIF served as President.
• 1999-2001: IK0ZME served as President.
• 2002-2004: IZ0BAI served as President.
• 2005-2008: IZ0ANE served as President.
• 2008: IK0TZX (formerly UAV) served as President.
• 2008-2011: I0ToD served as President.
• 2011: I00CD served as President.
• Late 2011: I0JPN served as President.

Throughout these years, the section has distinguished itself through various activities, notably its intervention during the Valle Comino earthquake and its participation in numerous sporting events.
