Good quality GMRS radio

This is a very good quality and value GMRS radio package. I like the bright green color, it sets apart from other black radios and is easier to find. It has a bright high quality screen that is easy to read in any lighting conditions. It includes USB-C charger, and also a charging dock for your desk. It also includes a USB serial cable so you can download the talkpod programming software to set your own frequency presets. Tons of other configuration options in the menu that I haven't changed, but you can program it to your liking. The antenna is removable for easy storage. I will keep this in my truck and feel that it will be very useful for my off-road trips. You can get an FCC license for GRMS online for $35 that covers you and your family so you can use these radios for longer distance comms than a walkie talkie. Great deal!

Great to use as a walkie-talkie

This is a nice long-range radio. You will need an additional one if you want to communicate with someone else. We only use this as a walkie-talkie to communicate over larger distances. I'm sure it has a lot of other functions, but for our needs it is perfect. The display is bright and the size is small enough to carry along with you. Perfect for camping and remote areas.

It’s decent and easy to use. Doesn’t quite have the range of some other handhelds I have used. Seems to pick up more static on base antennas than others. It’s pretty simple to use though and not a bad value.

They held up really well for burning man in the plays dust with incredible coverage better than most people with Baofeng UV5R or UV8R.I accomply this device with an extendable antenna for a ton of additional coverage, particularly in receiving.I primarly transmited in the 154MHz frequency range, despite usual legal isues when in the real world, and it was powerful and kept coverage over the entire plavaProgramming was similar through CHlRP since there's an option for the Talkpod devices to send and receive programming data

L’appareil fonctionne correctement, mais la portée reste limitée et il capte beaucoup de parasites malgré les réglages du squelch. Bien sûr, pour ce prix, il rend service et peut dépanner.

Étant habitué à des modèles professionnels comme les Motorola ou Kenwood à 1500 $, ainsi qu’à certains Icom, je constate une nette différence en termes de fiabilité. Si j’avais eu plus de temps et de connaissances, j’aurais probablement investi environ 200 $ dans un modèle un peu plus fiable.
