Club Description: The Western Placer Amateur Radio Club (WPARC) is a general service club that participates in numerous public service events in the area. They host the largest Hamfest in the area every third Saturday of September at McBean Park in Lincoln, CA. The club offers license testing on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:00 PM at the club meeting location.
Monthly meetings are available on Zoom, and the club also hosts a Zoom ragchew starting around 6:00 PM on Thursday evenings before the 2-meter net. The club meetings are open to everyone, and membership is not required to attend. Newcomers to ham radio can find support from many experienced members who are willing to help them learn about the hobby, earn a license, and answer any questions they may have.
