Located in the charming town of Eckental, we are part of the Deutscher Amateur-Radio-Club e.V. (DARC), a community that fosters the passion for amateur radio. Our club has been active in promoting the technical and humanitarian aspects of amateur radio, and we pride ourselves on our diverse and welcoming membership.
About Us
The Eckental Local Association (B33) offers a unique opportunity for anyone interested in the world of amateur radio, electronics, and wireless communication. We are a group of individuals who love tinkering with technology, exploring new ways to communicate, and sharing our experiences with the local community.
Whether it's engaging in activities like building electronics, participating in radio contests, or simply chatting with people across the globe, amateur radio has something for everyone.
Our members meet regularly at our OV meetings, where we discuss technical projects, share knowledge, and plan community activities. We also organize public events to introduce others to the world of amateur radio.
Our Key Activities
- Electronics Workshops: We offer soldering exercises for young enthusiasts, helping them learn the basics of building circuits.
- Public Demonstrations: We participate in community events like Marktfeste, where we showcase the fun and functionality of amateur radio to the public.
- Fox Hunts: Our fun and engaging "Fox Hunts" (a form of amateur radio direction finding) are a great way for beginners and families to get involved.

We meet every second Thursday of the month at Restaurant Sokrates, Einsteinstraße 1, 90542 Eckental (OT Forth) at 19:30. Whether you're a licensed operator or just interested in the technology, we welcome everyone to come and learn more.
