We are the Haslach/Kinzigtal Local Association (A28), a part of the German Amateur Radio Club (DARC), located in the scenic Kinzigtal region of the Black Forest. Our community is made up of passionate amateur radio enthusiasts who participate in a variety of activities, including contests, field days, and radio communication projects.
Activities and Events
Our club actively participates in several events and offers a variety of activities, including:
- Portable Days: We set up stations in the mountains for on-site radio operations.
- Contest Participation: We compete in various radio contests, honing our skills and connecting with fellow radio operators.
- SOTA Group: Operating from mountain peaks with minimal equipment and low power, a thrilling challenge for all participants.
- Summer Fun Program: Engaging with the public by introducing amateur radio during the summer season.
- Field Days: We focus on HF radio communication, often with simple setups and without the pressures of contests.
- Christmas Party and OV Family Evening: A social gathering with members and their families.
- Educational Opportunities: License courses and training for those interested in becoming amateur radio operators.
- Excursions and Social Events: We also host excursions, such as trips on the MS Karlsruhe or bus trips to St. Martin.

We meet regularly on the third Friday of each month at 20:00. Check the "current dates" section for any changes to this schedule.

Recent News
100th Birthday Celebration
On February 2, 2025, our member Eberhard Heilmann, DL2GAE, celebrated his 100th birthday. Eberhard, a long-time amateur radio enthusiast, continues to build his own radio equipment, including a new transceiver. We wish him continued health and success in the hobby that keeps him mentally fit!
Ortenauer Activity Week
From January 20-26, 2025, we hosted the Ortenauer Activity Week. This event encouraged amateurs to use the 2m and 70cm bands, contributing to our community's participation in active radio communication. Those interested without a license were also encouraged to experience amateur radio during this event.
