The German-Australian team has concluded their Christmas Island (VK9XU) operation with outstanding results:
 58,000 QSOs (exceeding expectations)
 Last contact: March 4 @ 02:57z with VR2CO (FT8)
 Now relocating to Cocos (Keeling) Islands for VK9CU activation

  • Lost antenna masts delayed low-band operations by 4 days

  • Amplifier failure forced FT8 station to run barefoot

  • Severe weather damaged 12/17m rhombic antenna (repaired)
